Dangote Refinery Registers Oil Marketers as Distributors

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has officially registered oil marketers as its distributors. The Dangote Group confirmed the registration of three associations of marketers in the Nigerian oil sector.NYSC Portal

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Dangote Group listed the registered marketers as members of the Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria.informationguidenigeria

“Three prominent associations, that constitute 75 per cent of the total market in Nigeria have been registered.

“The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, and the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria,” the post read.JAMB Portal

The Dangote Group has announced that it is still “considering other marketers that have signified interest” to partner with the refinery. While the Dangote Petroleum Refinery commenced the production of diesel and aviation fuel on January 12, 2023, it has not provided details on when these products will be available in the market.JAMB Result
Earlier reports mentioned that the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) had registered to be marketers for the products from the private refinery. However, the Dangote Group has not disclosed the timeline for the availability of these products in the market, and details regarding the commencement of the production of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) are also pending.
