South African DJ DJ Maphorisa has come under fire for remarks he made about Amapiano’s success in Africa from Davido and his brother Adewale Adeleke.Information Guide Nigeria
Before Wizkid and Burna Boy joined on the Amapiano bandwagon, a Twitter user claimed that Davido had invented the genre in Africa.
It disturbed Maphorisa, so he responded that Wizkid and Burna Boy had actually invented Amapiano in Africa after their appearance on the song “Sponono.”

He wrote:

After making a remark, Davido and his brother worked together to put him in his place while also supporting Maphorisa’s fraud.
Davido claims that the South African DJ never liked him, which is why he is so dedicated to his career and hard work.
He wrote:
“You’ve never liked me y? I’ve always been good to you …. Anyways! AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY NOW!!!!!! Chu chu chu chu chu”
