Economic hardship: We can’t be trusted with protest – Kanayo warns Igbos

Amid the current economic hardship in Nigeria, veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo has warned Igbos over the planned nationwide protest against President Bola Tinubu-led federal government, DAILY POST reveals.JAMB Portal

Kanayo gave the warning in a viral video shared on his official Instagram page on Saturday night while reacting to the economic hardship in the country.

While describing the economic crisis as unfortunate, Kanayo stated that if Igbos cannot be trusted with leadership power in Nigeria, they can also not be trusted with protest.

“Hunger has no religion. I have been looking for stores where only Muslims or Christians buy but I can’t see. So, I want to urge all Igbos to sing along with Davido’s ‘I’m unavailable’. Ndigbo are not available for protest in Nigeria.

DAILY POST reports that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo had in a statement by its President General, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, warned Igbo youths against the planned nationwide protest.
