Five Teenage Girls Arrested For Conspiring And Killing Their Friend Over Boyfriend

In connection with the alleged murder of a friend over a male boyfriend, five female companions have been detained. The accused were paraded on Wednesday by the Gombe State Police Command.Information Guide Nigeria

According to the state’s police public relations officer, ASP Mahid Mu’azu Abubakar, one Yaya Ma’aji of Chilo village in the Akko LGA of the state reported to the police on September 9 that five of his daughter Munira Yaya’s female companions had plotted to beat her till she was rendered unconscious.JAMB Result

According to the police, the girl was knocked out after being beaten and was transferred to the General Hospital, Kumo, where a doctor declared her dead.

After receiving the report, the PPRO’s operatives assigned to the Akko Division moved to the location and detained the five suspects, according to the PPRO, who said that the argument had been caused by a miscommunication concerning a lover. He added that a man named Reuben Azariah of Tarmana Ward in Kaltungo LGA of the state had been detained for allegedly abusing his 16-year-old daughter (name withheld) on top of a grave in their family property.
The victim was transferred to the General Hospital, Kaltungo, for a medical checkup, according to Abubakar, who added that the girl’s mother, Mrs. Abigail Yunusa, reported the incident. In the meantime, 18 further individuals were detained by the police in the previous week for a variety of offences, including rape, kidnapping, house invasion, theft, suicide attempt, and impersonating police officers, among others.
