I’m deeply sorry – Basketmouth finally apologises to AY, others

Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth, has finally apologised to colleague Ayodeji Richard Makun, often known as AY, after a 17-year rivalry.informationguidenigeria

Recall that AY and Basketmouth have been in the news for their ongoing feud?

Basketmouth stated in a 2021 Black Box interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that he parted out with AY because “he messed with loyalty.”

“To be honest, I don’t want that guy (AY) to ever hear from me,” he replied.

He also stated that they were never buddies.

Basketmouth, who is trying to sell tickets for his forthcoming event in November, requested forgiveness from AY and the other people he hurt.

In a video posted on his Instagram page on Monday, the comedian apologised publicly for the 17-year schism.

He said: “Now to all the people in the industry and beyond that I have offended. I’m saying this to you right now from the bottom of my heart, I’m genuinely sorry please forgive me. To the people that have accused me of doing things that have affected their careers in one way or the other, I’m not going to accept or deny these allegations, but God knows the truth. But regardless, please forgive me from the bottom of my heart.
