Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, has stepped forward to address the swirling controversies surrounding the health condition of his colleague, Mr. Ibu, who is reportedly battling a serious ailment.
Following Mr. Ibu’s appeal for prayers and potential financial help due to an illness that might lead to leg amputation, several individuals have weighed in with their opinions and accusations.JAMB Result

Reno Omokri, a former presidential media adviser, pointed out Mr. Ibu’s past support for politician Peter Obi and urged the latter to assist with the actor’s medical expenses.
Meanwhile, Actor Uche Maduagwu made grave accusations against Nollywood actors, insinuating they were behind Mr. Ibu’s ill-health and accusing them of using mystical charms.

In a video, Kanayo O Kanayo admonished Reno Omokri, Uche Maduagwu, Verydarkman, and others, cautioning them against trying to gain popularity from Mr. Ibu’s predicament.
Kanayo affirmed the genuine concern and grief the acting community feels for Mr. Ibu. He stated that efforts have been ongoing within Mr. Ibu’s close circle since the onset of his illness the previous year, and the decision to now seek public assistance is entirely valid.informationguidenigeria
Kanayo went ahead to pose a question to the critics, asking if they would have rather the situation remained private, potentially worsening Mr. Ibu’s condition.

“As actors, our heart goes out to our very dear colleague John Okafor, Mr Ibu. His family has been doing their best since it was reported last year he was sick and now they have come out to say we have done our best we need public support. It’s not in any sense wrong. Would you have felt bad or better if they kept quiet and allowed our colleague die? Onye ka ozuru? “It is not a friendly thing, it is wicked and the other guy Uche Maduagwu and so who talked about top actors, shame on top actors, I say shame on you too. Shame on you because you don’t have any value and level to call our names, It is an individual thing to do to support a colleague.
