Koffi Olomidé cleared of rape, jailed 18 months for kidnapping

Famous Congolese Soukus singer, Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, aka Koffi Olomidé, has been cleared of rape and has bagged an 18 months jail term for kidnapping his former dancers.Information Guide Nigeria

According to PM NEWS, the Versailles Court in France sentenced the 65-year-old Congolese star on Monday, December 13, and was acquitted of sexual assault charges he had earlier on been charged with on the same dancers who are the former members of his Quartier Latin band.

This verdict on his 18-month sentence came after he had left France.

PM NEWS reports that the singer denied the accusations by his former dancers.

“The dream of the young women who accused me was to live in France and obtain papers from associations.

“Women are very well protected, we must also listen to our point of view.”Jamb Result

The alleged sexual assault on the dancers had allegedly been perpetrated between 2002 and 2006 in the singer’s villa in Asnières, a town in the Paris region.
