Moises Caicedo: Why I rejected Liverpool

Moises Caicedo, in a recent interview with Sky Sports, discussed his decision to join Chelsea, describing it as an “impossible” choice to refuse, especially in light of Liverpool’s delayed approach. Caicedo’s transfer to Stamford Bridge in August for a record £115 million was a major move in the transfer market, impacting Liverpool’s search for a new midfielder.

Caicedo, previously with Brighton, had been in the radar of Chelsea well before Liverpool expressed their interest. In his conversation with Sky Sports, he highlighted the duration and depth of discussions he had with Chelsea as a crucial factor in his decision to move there.

“I was talking with Chelsea for a long time. It was impossible to say not to Chelsea, because they were with me supporting me,” Caicedo explained.informationguidenigeria

“In the summer I suffered a lot because it was complicated to leave Brighton. They were with me, and in the last moment Liverpool called me but it was [too] late because I wanted to play for Chelsea. It was tough to say no to Chelsea.”
