NDC Issues Ultimatum to INEC for Bye-Elections in Rivers State

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), a pro-democratic group, has taken a firm stance regarding the recent defection of 27 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State. The NDC asserts that these lawmakers have effectively vacated their seats by switching parties.NYSC Portal

Daniel Okwa, the convener of the NDC, voiced his concerns about the political climate in Rivers State during a press briefing on Tuesday. He described the mass defection of the lawmakers as a situation that could undermine the principles of democracy.JAMB Result

Okwa’s statement emphasizes the importance of adhering to constitutional guidelines in the face of significant political changes.
