NDLEA arrests man who concealed drugs in bicycle tube

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Katsina State Command, has arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Jamilu Haruna, with hard drugs during a routine stop and search patrol along the Kano-Katsina Expressway, DAILY POST reports.InformationGuideNigeria

Haruna, a resident of Charanchi Local Government Area, Katsina State, was nabbed among passengers in a commercial vehicle while traveling from Lagos to Charanchi LGA, where he hails from.

Bashir Adamu, the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of NDLEA in Katsina, in a statement on Wednesday stated that during the stop and search operation, Haruna was discovered to have concealed three different illicit drugs within the rear tube of a dilapidated bicycle in his possession.NYSC Portal

The confiscated drugs include 154 grams of Cannabis Sativa, 6.3 grams of Diazepam Pills and 8.6 grams of Exol-5.JAMB Portal

According to Adamu, further investigations to uncover any additional information that may lead to the apprehension of more individuals involved in the illicit activity is ongoing.

The Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics emphasised the agency’s continued commitment to eradicating drug abuse and illicit trafficking within the state and the region.JAMB Result

He called upon the general public to provide support and assistance to the NDLEA in achieving its objectives in the ongoing battle against the menace of hard drugs.
