PDP G5 Governors will support Tinubu in 2027 – Ortom

 Samuel Ortom, the former governor of Benue State, has stated that the G5 Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would support President Bola Tinubu in the event of his re-election bid in 2027. Ortom made this declaration at an event in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, organized by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.NYSC Portal

The G5 Governors, comprising Wike, Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (former governor of Enugu), Seyi Makinde (governor of Oyo), and Okezie Ikpeazu (former governor of Abia), previously did not endorse the presidential campaign of the PDP’s candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, during the 2023 general elections.

“We have nowhere to go because that is what Nigerians believe. Even the past administration that took Nigeria from top to bottom, we allowed them to work for eight years. So, why can’t a seasoned administrator in the person President Bola Ahmed Tinubu rule us for eight years?”
