Lere Olayinka, a notable member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, has voiced concerns regarding the alleged infiltration of Social Democratic Party (SDP) members into the PDP.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Olayinka asserted that certain individuals who had called for the suspension of his former boss, ex-governor Ayo Fayose, due to his support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji, were purportedly affiliated with the SDP. He further contended that those who had previously opposed the PDP during the 2022 gubernatorial election in the state were now masquerading as PDP members.informationguidenigeria

“Seeing the spokesperson at their meeting, and remembering that he was the spokesperson of SDP during the 2022 gubernatorial election, as well as the 2023 general elections, I couldn’t help but ask myself, has their journey in the SDP ended? While describing his former boss, Fayose as a statesman, who has the right to support anyone, Olayinka said “until PDP as a party begins to have a clear direction, its members will continue to do their own politics as it pleases them.”
