Supreme Court Dismisses Darlington Nwokocha’s Motion, Imposes Fine

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has rejected a motion for the review of judgment filed by Darlington Nwokocha, concerning his removal as the Senator representing Abia Central district. This decision follows the earlier judgment by the Appeal Court, which had removed Nwokocha from his senatorial position.NYSC Portal

Nwokocha had appealed to the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling of the appellate court and reinstate him as the Senator for Abia Central.

He contended that his victory in the February 25 Senatorial election was overwhelming and argued that the reasons given by the Appeal Court panel for his removal in November were unjustified.informationguidenigeria
