The vehicle moving towards Lagos reportedly veered off the road, somersaulted and ended in a ditch.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE) Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, disclosed that the accident occurred opposite Conoil filling station, near Sagamu Interchange.

The Mazda bus, marked LGB 739 XA, reportedly had 18 passengers on board, 13 of whom escaped unhurt.
According to Akinbiyi, one male and one female died, while a male and two females were injured in the incident that occurred around 4pm.JAMB Portal
He added that the injured victims were rescued to Idera Hospital, Sagamu, while the dead ones were taken to the morgue of the facility by the Federal Road Safety Corps.InformationGuideNigeria
Akinbiyi added that that the vehicle had been removed from the ditch and taken to Sagamu Divisional Police Station.NYSC Portal
While commiserating with the families of the victims, TRACE warned drivers to avoid speeding and dangerous driving in view of its attendant consequences.
