UFC: ‘I know I can kill him’ – Israel Adesanya knows what to do in rematch against Alex Pereira

Israel Mobolaji Adesanya, a professional mixed martial artist of Nigerian descent from New Zealand, has indicated that he now understands what he must do to win his upcoming Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout.

In a rematch, Adesanya, age 33, will face Alexsandro Pereira, a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist.

In November of 2017 at Madison Square Garden in New York, Adesanya lost the UFC Middleweight Championship to Pereira via TKO.Information Guide Nigeria

Adesanya recently viewed the most recent combat between Pereira and himself on his official YouTube channel.

In the video, Adesanya discusses what he did well in the fight and what he must work on to win the rematch.

Before the analysis, Adesanya commented on getting some key shots to hurt Pereira and was able to do some serious damage.

He said, “I want to get back in there I felt so comfortable in there like even these bits I felt so comfortable.

“It’s a long wait you have to wait for them to announce all this and then you know. I was like yeah yeah let’s go sure.”

He added, “I’m trying to move my head, I’m like what it was way too soon yeah.

“I was yeah but still like I think it’s just a stumble,  a stumble that’s what gave that’s what gave him like the oh I gotta stop this.”

Giving his analysis, Adesanya explained that he enjoyed watching the fight again.

He said, “It’s cool it was awesome watching the whole thing from the entrance his entrance to the finish and you know the commentary afterward

“It’s just like a what a show it was beautiful the whole thing as a whole yeah I enjoyed myself even watching myself I enjoy myself a little bit too much.”NYSC Portal

Adesanya reveal that his performance was not bad as he was able to hurt him and take him down.

He said, “I was just happy with my performance I wasn’t happy with the result but I was happy with my performance.

“Just expressing myself um feeling myself being able to trade with this Titan you know back and forth hurting him taking them down surviving.”

Adesanya on killing Pereira

The former Middleweight champion had previously succumbed twice to Pereira in 2015 and 2016 in kickboxing matches.

Since then, Adesanya was unable to exact revenge in their initial UFC bout, but he vows to make him haemorrhage in the rematch.

He said, “I just kept him down the ground I beat him up and won that round as well but around four I was attacking I was beating him tagging him.

“I wish I pressed more maybe I wish I pressed more because I let him recover around four maybe I wish I took him down again I think if I shot again the other definitely got him down early before the fifth.

“I was beating him I was on my way to beating him there’s that story there but I’m excited for this chapter.

“I like the way the story goes I made him bloody I made him bleed and can kill him

“I want to make it a blood bath like I get up and it’s just red from elbows and just beating him lumpy like, I’ll do that to him.

“if I just beat him from Bell to Bell, 30-minute ass whooping we’ll finish him somewhere in between all those three don’t matter it’s just like he who has a last laugh Laughs best.”

The main event of UFC 287 will feature a rematch between Adesanya and Pereira at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, on Sunday, April 9, 2023.JAMB Result
