As per the thespian, she parted ways with her spouse due to the geographical distance between them, as her former beau, Akinrimisi, resides in the United States.
The thespian disclosed this during a chat with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo.

The devoted mother of two expressed the arduousness of constantly shuttling back and forth just to catch a glimpse of him.
In a stunning revelation, she disclosed that the extensive distance had taken a toll on her marital bond, ultimately leading to her decision to file for divorce.
The mother of two said: “He [my ex-husband] was a good father to his children. But I got to a place where I wanted more. And I would always travel back and forth. But I knew at a point that if I really want this, it came with a sacrifice.NYSC Portal
“It wasn’t a sacrifice of marriage, but then he being there [USA] and the distance didn’t help.”
She said it was difficult for her to cope with the situation, so she chose divorce.
