  1. Get an international passport if you don’t have one. This is compulsory for all intending travellers. You must visit the nearest immigration office to get the process started before thinking of how to apply for Chinese visa in Nigeria.
  2. Visit the embassy. Download the application form online on www.chinese-embassy.info/africa/visa-nga. After the download and carefully filling out the form with genuine information about yourself, you are expected to visit the embassy in person for submission.

This is a measure used to eliminate fraud in the issuance of Chinese visa. At the embassy or consulate, this is where you are expected to submit your application with all the requirements listed above and schedule an interview

If you pass the interview, you are close to getting yourself a Chinese visa but passing is not a guarantee that you will get a visa though. Also, if you fail the interview, you will be rejected outright. After the interview, an estimated visa collection date will be given to you contained in a visa pick-up form.

Payments include –single entry: N5000 while double entry is N7500. Also, 6-month entry is N10000 while 1 year entry is N15000. Furthermore, express service is N4000 (3 to 4 days) while rush service is N6000 (1 working day)

Conclusion

Doing business in China is relatively easy because of the high population of Nigerians who are willing to assist you over there.

Even though China doesn’t speak English, a lot of them are just willing to learn it while some of them can speak just a little which you can understand.

Since the Chinese Mission in Nigeria learnt that individuals are being duped by fake agents in the name of helping unsuspecting Nigerians process their Chinese visas, they have taken urgent measures to arrest the situation by ensuring that middle men are completely eliminated.

Unlike other missions that concessioned the management of their visa application process to commercial ventures, the Chinese mission prefers applicants to visit their embassy or consulate in person if he or she wants to apply for a Chinese visa in Nigeria.
