2023: CRARN Alleges Importation Of Thugs Ahead Of A’Ibom Guber Polls

Center for Human Rights and Accountability Network (CRARN) has alleged that there are plans to import thugs and institution violence ahead of the Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections in Akwa Ibom State.Information Guide Nigeria

According to INDEPENDENT, State Director of CRARN, Otuekong Franklyn Isong dropped the hint in a chat with newsmen.

Otuekong  Isong tasked the Police and other security agencies to beef up security in the state, especially in riverine areas before, during and after the elections to forestall security crisis.

CRARN further cautioned politicians against instigating insecurity during the polls.

“We hereby call on the Nigerian police and other law enforcement agencies to be on alert and rise to the occasion of ensuring that the state remains peaceful while Akwa Ibom people go out en masse to elect the governor and state Assembly members of their choice.
