The young defender featured as an unused substitute a further three times during the 2019–20 season. And on the 17th of September, he was an unused substitute in a 1–0 defeat to Valencia in the UEFA Champions League. After that week, the defender made his professional debut in a 7–1 win against Grimsby Town in the EFL Cup third round.
