2024 MOBO Awards: Asake beats Tyla, Davido, others to win Best African Act

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has won the Best African Artist of the Year at the 2024 MOBO Awards held in Sheffield, United Kingdom, on Wednesday night, DAILYPOST reports.NYSC Portal

The ‘Mr Money’ crooner defeated his compatriots Davido, Ayra Starr, Rema, Grammy-winning South African singer, Tyla and others to clinch the award.

British rapper, Central Cee topped the winners’ chart with two awards: Best Male Act and Song of the Year for ‘Sprinter with British-Nigerian rapper, Dave.

Drake and 21 Savage were the joint winners of the Best International Act award while Soul II Soul was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
