Troops eliminate 31 terrorists, arrest 70 in North-East

The Defence Headquarters announced on Thursday that Operation Hadin Kais troops had captured 70 terrorists, including members of Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province, and killed 31 of them.

Thursday, the Defense Headquarters announced that Operation Hadin Kai troops have killed 31 Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists and detained 70 of them and their accomplices.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major-General Musa Danmadami, stated in Abuja at the biweekly news briefing on the operations of the armed forces that this feat was accomplished during the last two weeks.

In addition to rescuing two civilian hostages, 366 terrorists and their families surrendered throughout the period, according to the defence spokesperson.

He stated that on October 11, forces countered a terrorist ambush in Borno’s Bama and Ngala regions, resulting in the deaths of 18 terrorists and the discovery of a weapons stockpile.

According to him, the military engaged the terrorists and forced them to flee in confusion.
