End fuel smuggling, oil workers tell FG

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria has argued that the Federal Government and operators in the downstream oil sector are to blame for the extended statewide shortage of premium motor spirit, also known as gasoline.InformationGuideNigeria

Among the downstream, oil industry operators are the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, the Nigerian Midstream, and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, as well as big and independent oil marketers and depot owners.

PENGASSAN, a major oil industry organization, indicated that operators were seeking to increase the price of PMS, but emphasized that the union would resist this.JAMB Portal

Festus Osifo, the president of the union, spoke on Thursday in Abuja at a meeting of PENGASSAN’s national executive council summoned to discuss the ramifications of the multiple difficulties facing Nigeria and oil workers.
