Angry Youths Stone Suspected ‘Yahoo Boy’ To Death For Kiling Four Road Users

The tragedy occurred on Easter Monday in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, when a middle-aged man suspected to be an Internet fraudster, commonly known as “Yahoo Boy,” crushed four people to death. THE GUARDIAN reports.Information Guide Nigeria

The incident occurred along the Ijoka axis of Akure, the state capital when the driver of a Toyota Camry (muscle), who was at top speed rammed into other road users.

According to an eyewitness, the car that the middle-aged man, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, was driving, suddenly skidded off its lane and crushed the victims, who were on commercial motorcycles and tricycles.JAMB Result

The eyewitness, an okada rider, who simply gave his name, as Tunji, narrated that the driver had first rammed into a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger at the Ijo Mimo Bus Stop, but refused to stop, and in the bid to escape, crushed three others on motorcycles and a tricycle.JAMB Portal

On his way to Sunday Bus Stop, the driver, who did not sustain any injury, was trying to escape the scene before he was caught by some youths, most of whom were commercial motorcyclists, who descended on him.

The mob became more infuriated when they discovered some fetish substances and items inside the car, raising suspicion that the driver was a “Yahoo Boy.”NYSC Portal
