Abuja Metro Station: It’ll be disastrous for me – Wike condemns project design

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has voiced his concerns regarding the status of the Abuja Rail Mass Transit Scheme, commonly known as the Abuja Light Rail Project.informationguidenigeria

During a visit to the Abuja Metro Station in the Central Business District and the Kukwaba II Train station, as well as the station’s access road, which is still under construction, Wike was accompanied by senior officials of the FCTA. The purpose of the visit was to personally assess the pace and quality of work on the light rail project in preparation for the scheduled commissioning ceremony in May 2024.informationguidenigeria

However, the minister expressed disappointment with what he observed during the visit and raised concerns about noticeable security lapses at the Abuja Metro Station.JAMB Result

“From what I have seen, the designs are very poor. Whoever may have approved the designs is unfair to Nigerians.
