 Aisha Buhari Gives N120m Mobile Hospital To NYSC

The First Lady of Nigeria, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, on Tuesday, handed over a mobile Hospital worth over N120 million to the National Youth Service Corps in Abuja. THE PUNCH reports.

The First Lady, deputized by a presidential aide and wife of a former governor of Nasarawa State, Mairo Al-Makura, made the announcement at the First Quarter 2022 NYSC nationwide HIRD programme and physical handover of the mobile Hospital.

She called on other privileged Nigerians to adopt a culture of extending technical, material and financial support to programmes targeting the delivery of free and quality health services to the people. Information Guide Nigeria

Aisha Buhari said, “I wish to emphasise the need for NYSC programmes that are targeted at improving the lives of Nigerians to be strengthened through the goodwill and support of all well-meaning citizens.

“This informed my decision to donate the Mobile Clinic to the scheme. I would like to assure you that our moral and material support would be sustained for the benefit of the citizenry”.

“As a mother. I remain committed to any cause that will help in the reduction, if not total eradication, of maternal and newborn mortality as well as avoidable morbidity arising from preventable causes”.

“It is my ardent hope that philanthropic individuals and corporate bodies will also take a cue from us by supporting healthcare initiative for rural dwellers and other laudable programmes of the NYSC”. jamb results

“With this gesture, our resolve to mobilise the young men and women of the Service Corps for humanitarian activities has been further strengthened, and the impact of our healthcare services to the rural poor, in particular, will be deepened”.
