What Is A Nigeria Visa On Arrival?

What is the common requirement for most international travelers entering Nigeria? It is the need for a Nigerian visa. The Nigerian Government has made efforts to simplify the application process and offers various visa options.

Applying for a visa can be a tedious process involving document collection and paperwork. To simplify things, the Nigerian Government introduced Visa On Arrival (VoA) as an alternative to traditional entry visas like e-visas or tourist visas.

If time is of the essence, VoA is the best option as it is quick and easy to apply and receive. There are numerous benefits to choosing VoA. For example, there is no need to travel to an embassy or attend an interview, saving time and money.

The Nigerian Government established the Visa-on-Arrival system to allow the Comptroller General of Immigration to issue Short Visit Visas at designated ports of entry.

With a short visit visa, you can apply for various visas, including a business visa, tourist visa, or transit visa, at the point of entry. Short visit visas are valid for a maximum of three months and can be applied for as single or multiple entries.

It is important to note that these visas do not grant the right to work or reside in the country.15 Best Photochromic Glass and their Prices in Nigeria
