
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has defeated his main co-contender, Bola Tinubu, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State. THE GUARDIAN reports.Information Guide Nigeria
Atiku polled a total of 489,041 votes, according to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 34 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, polled 2,368 in the council while the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, polled 78.NYSC portal
Other presidential candidates’ results are as follows: A 255, AA 523, AAC 234, ADC 1405, ADP 1798, APGA 1391, APM 603, APP 269, BP 327, NRM 1053, PRP 1986, SDP 339, YPP 1029 and ZLP 371.
The results announced by the INEC collation officers also showed that Atiku won in Batsari, Mashi, Kurfi, Dutsinma, Batagarawa, Kusada, Mani, Kankia, Kankara, Bakori, Jibia, Katsina, and Safana.
