Ayra Starr explains stage name, Don Jazzy’s input

Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, who has gained popularity under the stage name Ayra Starr, recently disclosed the origin of her unique stage name.

In an intriguing revelation, she explained that the name ‘Ayra Starr’ is a collaborative creation between herself and her record label boss, the renowned Don Jazzy.

Ayra Starr shared that she came up with the first part of her stage name, “Ayra,” which was a creative adaptation of her identity. The latter part, “Starr,” was added by Don Jazzy, the head of Mavin Records, the label she is signed to.
