Bandits storm FCT, abduct 23 residents

On Thursday, bandits reportedly carried out the abduction of 23 residents in the Kawu community, located in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.informationguidenigeria

Abdulmumini Zakari, the councilor representing the area, confirmed the abduction and revealed that the gunmen entered the community from the Kuyeri Forest in Kaduna State, where they then divided into separate groups for their operation.NYSC Portal

Zakari further explained that some of the bandits targeted the palace of the district head, Alhaji Abdurrahman Danjuma Ali, where they abducted his son, Lukman, and his wife, who had been married for just two weeks.

Additionally, the bandits attacked the residence of Alhaji Alhassan Sidi Kawu, who is the Marafa of Kawu and a former PDP Chairman of Kawu Ward. They abducted the former PDP chairman along with his four children. The bandits also targeted the compound of Sarkin Pawan Kawu, Gambo Pawa, abducting him along with his two wives and children.JAMB Result

The FCT Police Command spokeswoman, SP Josephine Adeh, has confirmed the incident. Over the past few weeks, numerous residents of the FCT have fallen victim to bandit abductions, with satellite towns in the FCT being particularly affected by criminal activities.JAMB Portal
