This, aside from expired tires and pin-in-the tyres is the cause of car tyre bursts in Nigeria. What also causes tires burst in Nigeria is using the wrong tyre size in a vehicle.

Every car tire has a recommended manufacturer’s pumping air pressure which must not be violated. This is stated clearly by the by the drivers’ door of the car. The air pressure could be 29, 33 or 50.

Smaller vehicles have lower pumping air pressure rating, as compared with bigger vehicles, trucks, and machined cars. So, do not accept over-pimping of your tires to avoid burst.

Tyres are rubber products which expand with an increase in temperature. The temperature within a car tire expands more during the daytime when the asphalt on the road gets hotter. This results in an increased pressure in/on the car tyre.

When it gets too much and exceeds its carrying capacity, the tire is likely to burst.
