Aminu Achida, the Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, while reacting to the defection expressed happiness over the acceptance of Achida to join the PDP in the state.
