Chelsea predicted team vs Liverpool – Chilwell and Mudryk start, Nkunku decision made

A report from football.london confims that the West London giants face the most in-form team in the Premier League on Wednesday evening as they go to Anfield to take on Liverpool. The Blues have been in good form themselves but will have their work cut out against the league leaders.informationguidenigeria

The Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp, who announced he will be leaving the Reds at the end of the season in a surprising announcement last week, has seen his side score 10 goals in their last three matches in all competitions – and that is without their star attacker Mohamed Salah. Mauricio Pochettino spoke glowingly of Klopp and Liverpool in his press conference on Tuesday and recognises just how difficult it will be to get anything from Anfield.

The Blues, though, are set to welcome back both Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku with the French duo taking part in full training this week. Whether or not they are fit enough to start on Merseyside is yet to be seen.

GK: Djordje PetrovicNYSC Portal

The Serbian goalkeeper has been superb for Chelsea since coming into the team last month. Petrovic more than helped the Blues keep a clean sheet against Aston Villa on Friday after producing a wonderful stop to deny Matty Cash in the second half.

RB: Malo Gusto

Gusto has not been available for the last few games because of a minor injury but Pochettino confirmed the Frenchman would be in the squad at Anfield. Chelsea may well need Gusto and his speed against a very quick Liverpool front-line.JAMB Portal

CB: Axel Disasi

Disasi has been very positive in recent matches, whether that has been at right-back or at the heart of the back-four. The Frenchman looks set to continue his run in the side at Anfield and will be in for a busy evening.

CB: Thiago Silva

Silva never fails to amaze you. At 39-years-old, he continues to defy biology with his performances week in and week out. He will have a huge test at Anfield – whether that’s marking Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota or someone else.JAMB Result

LB: Ben Chilwell

You cannot help but feel Pochettino starting Chilwell on the bench on Friday was with this trip to Anfield in mind. The Blues head coach is easing his vice-captain back into action but this feels like too big of a game to leave him out of.
