Coach sacked for misconduct after boxer’s defeat

The Yucateco Boxing League’s disciplinary committee has taken decisive action against Ologundudu Adeniji, the coach of the Conkal Boxing club, following allegations of misconduct. This decision was made in response to events that transpired during week nine of the YBL competition held in Osogbo, Osun State.

A formal letter issued on January 5, 2024, and signed by Ezekiel Rotimi, the Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, outlines the reasons for the termination. The letter accuses Adeniji of causing a disruption at the event and engaging in inappropriate behavior, specifically the use of threatening language directed towards judges and the referee.
