POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the governor, through the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Oko Inaku, delivered the termination letter to Mr. Odey, instructing him to hand over his responsibilities to the Director of Administration.

“I have been directed by His Excellency, the Governor, to request your retirement with immediate effect,” wrote Mr. Oko in the letter addressed to the Auditor General.
