Dangote Refinery: Africa’s largest oil facility is 97 per cent complete

When Dangote Petroleum Refinery personnel presented the facilitys 2022–2023 work plan in Abuja, the NMDPRA announced the news, according to Daily Trust.Infomation Guide Nigeria

Speaking about the refinery project, Mr. Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive of NMDPRA, emphasised the significance of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery to the nation while reiterating that the Authority will provide all necessary support to enable prompt completion and the beginning of operations.

Africa’s largest oil refinery and the largest singletrain petroleum complex, the Dangote Refinery is located on 6,180 acres (2,500 hectares) of land. By processing 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day into refined petroleum products after it is finished, the refinery will assist Nigeria in transitioning to an oil refining nation.

Other Top Stories:

Mr. Devakumar Edwin, Group Executive Director, Strategy, Portfolio Development & Capital Projects, Dangote Industries Limited, hinted that the refinery would enable easy transhipment of refined petroleum products to international markets and eventually end the overreliance on fuel import from other regions into Nigeria.

He claimed that the refinery would promote Nigeria’s economic growth and that it could supply all liquid goods (such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and aviation jet) to Nigeria’s exact specifications as well as having a surplus of each product available for sale.

“The high volume of petrol output from the refinery would transform Nigeria from a petrol import-dependent country to an exporter of refined petroleum products,” he stated, adding that the refinery would produce Euro-V quality gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene and polypropylene for local consumption and also have a surplus of each of the products for export.Jamb Result
