Davido doles out N237m to 424 orphanages

David Adeleke, alias Davido, an Afrobeat singer, has announced the distribution of N237 million to 424 orphans across the country through his David Adeleke Foundation, DAF.Information Guide Nigeria

Davido announced the contribution via his Twitter handle on Thursday, saying it was made possible by individuals and collaborations from various industries and areas.

According to a press release attached to his tweet, the donation benefited 13, 818 youngsters.

He wrote: “I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so.

“We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday. Thank you to everyone who donated. With your help, we are changing lives.NYSC Portal
