Day 8 – 30 Jul – Pere’s women problems – BBNaija

The first battle of the season has begun, and the two housemates that took part in the yelling match were none other than Alex and CeeC. As things stand, there doesn’t appear to be a resolution in sight for the two, to the point that “The General” himself is caught in the crossfire of the drama. On Day 5, Pere and CeeC met in the bedroom at the invitation of the latter, who had been avoiding any awkward contact and run-ins with him since they were at each other’s throats. The one-on-one session was as ineffective as they come, with an irritated CeeC hogging the mic the entire time and interjecting every time Pere tried to speak to defend himself.

CeeC was upset that Pere did not defend him when the argument erupted, and she went on to say that she felt “The General” fueled the fire between the two ladies rather than trying to quiet them down and mediate peace. Pere advised CeeC that she would do herself a favour by confronting any housemate who has made her feel uncomfortable this season. CeeC continued to use the ignore button and demanded that they refrain from talking with one another until the end of the show, to which Pere gave a thumbs up.JAMB Result

The silent treatment of Pere did not end there, as Alex followed suit on Day 8, implying a similar arrangement. She would like her and Pere to spend less time together than they have gotten accustomed to, yanking away the friendship card while she was at it because she believes Pere is a bit too close to CeeC – a situation that puts her in her feelings and makes her exceedingly uncomfortable.

Pere attempted to justify himself, saying that he did not have feelings for CeeC in “that way,” but Alex disagreed.

Except for Pere, who appears to be at the centre of it all, it appears that most of the roommates consider him and CeeC as more than a scenario and potential romantic partners. Venita and Mercy Eke analyzed Pere’s approach, indicating that he may make a strategic move by using a ship with CeeC to get ahead in Africa’s biggest reality TV show! He has since made it obvious to Venita, Mercy Eke, and Alex that he will not pursue this course of action.Information Guide Nigeria

A debriefing session

Pere conveyed the crux of his talk with Alex with Cross, who had his own assumptions. For Cross, it’s either Alex likes him or she believes he has a love interest in CeeC, which upsets her because of their history and the present status of their relationship in the house. Pere, on the other hand, has admitted to both Alex and Cross that he likes her. He is drawn to her because she is intelligent, and he likes intelligent women.NYSC Portal

Cross has a theory: Alex and CeeC are using Pere as a technique, and they are near enough to not speak vocally, giving the impression that they are beefing. Pere does not agree that they are that close, but he does say, “They should take this nonsense away from me.”

Cross recommended Pere to have another heart-to-heart with Alex. Will this make a difference, or will it only amplify the already raging fire?
