Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has cautioned the Nigerian government against inciting vulnerable Nigerians to go to war due to the negative effects of the naira and cash shortage in the nation.
The difficulties the general public is experiencing as a result of the government’s destructive policies were denounced by Baba-Ahmed in a tweet on Tuesday.

Recent events in Abeokuta showed some heartbreaking scenes of people being shot and property being trashed.
The NEF spokesman attributed the crisis to utter poor governance, adding something urgent must be done to arrest the situation.
He wrote: “How much can the people endure? Cant buy, cant sell, cant eat, cant move, not safe, not heard, not relevant. Is this politics or poor governance? Please do not push the poor too hard.”
