EFCC arrests Chinese expatriate for illegal mining

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has detained a 29-year-old Chinese man named Gang Deng for alleged illicit mining in Ilorin, Kwara State, as part of its attempts to stop the non-payment of royalties on the nation’s mineral resources to the Federal Government.Information Guide Nigeria

Deng was detained on Friday night, September 9, 2022, in Ilorin, according to a statement from the EFCC’s head of media and publicity, Wilson Uwajuaren, who also added that he was found to be illegally in possession of crude minerals.
