“Investigations have proved that the suspects confessed to being members of the Vikings Confraternity,” Uzuegbu was quoted as saying. “One of them, Henry Agbo Ogbonna, was found to be the former Councillor of Ikiriki Ward 6 and is a member and sponsor of the secret cult group activities.”JAMB Portal

According to the police boss, operatives arrested the suspects in November after they had “perfected plans to avenge the attack on one of their cult group members.” Six firearms, 16 live cartridges, and a snatched vehicle were recovered during the arrests.

Uzuegbu vowed that the police onslaught against criminals in the state will continue unabated.

“The unprosecuted cases shall be charged to court and the suspects prosecuted once ongoing investigations are concluded,” he affirmed.
