The South American nation was disqualified for failing to provide the promised infrastructure required to conduct the tournament from November 10 to December 2.

FIFA has also announced that a new host for the U-17 World Cup will be selected in due time.

In spite of a very positive working relationship between FIFA and the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), it has been determined that there is not enough time to secure the necessary investment and complete the necessary work with the Peruvian government prior to the tournament’s start date, according to a statement on FIFA’s website.
