Flutterwave launches eNaira payments for businesses in Nigeria
The Central Bank of Nigeria-issued digital currency known as eNaira is now supported by Flutterwave merchants for payment processing. This is consistent with Flutterwave’s dedication to offering the greatest payment experience to businesses worldwide.
The eNaira has been added to the extensive variety of payment methods offered by Flutterwave. The eNaira payment option can now be enabled by merchants for collection from customers via Checkout and API. The eNaira payment option can now be made available to clients of Flutterwave merchants on their dashboard. Users can use the app to create one-time tokens or scan QR codes to conduct transactions on Flutterwave. Despite there being about 55 million bank accounts in the nation, according to the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, only about 700,000 people have opened an eNaira wallet since it first launched in 2021.JAMB Result
