Genevieve Nnaji is a Nigerian actress and model who is often referred to as a screen goddess. She was born in Mbaise local government area in Imo state, south eastern Nigeria where she hails from.

Miss Nnaji is the fourth child in a family of eight children. Her father retired as an engineer while her mother retired as a teacher, both parents reside in Lagos state.

Genevieve attended the famous Methodist Girls’ College in Yaba then the university of Lagos where she obtained a degree in creative arts.

The graceful actress who is one of the highest paid and most popular actress in nollywood began her career as a child actor in the popular television soap opera “Ripples” at the age of eight.

In 1999, she launched fully into the Nigerian film industry as an adult by starring in a block buster movie titled “Most Wanted” which also starred Regina Askia and Ayo Adesanya.

She hasn’t looked back since then as she has continued to make giant strides in the industry by starring in over hundred nollywood movies.

Genevieve Nnaji stands out as a professional and versatile actress whose expertise and hard work has placed her in the A list category of actors in Nigeria.

Genevieve is also the first Nigerian actress to be awarded with the best actress award by the censors board of Nigeria in 2003.

In 2011, She was honored as a member of the order of the federal republic of Nigeria for her contributions to the growth of the entertainment industry.

The delectable actress has also featured in several advertisements and commercials like Pronto Beverage,Omo detergent, lux as the face of lux 2004, MUD cosmetic line as the face of MUD Nigeria 2010. In 2014, she launched her own clothing line St. Genevieve.

Ms Nnaji has gone from merely acting to producing her own movies. In 2015, she co produced “Road To Yesterday” which bagged several awards in the industry and she is currently working on “Lion’s Heart” which is to be released soon.

When the Nigerian government in 2003 and 2004 placed a ban on movie production in nollywood, many actors diverted into music and Genevieve was one of them.

Her album, titled “One Logo Logo Line” was produced and released in 2004 by EKB records, a Ghanian recording company which she signed a deal with. The music was so poor that critics advised her to stick to the movie industry and till date she has had no musical project.
