Step One: The VFS Global application center accepts only the short-term visa applications.

Step Two: You must have a reason for wanting to visit Russia.

Step Three: Applicants should read and understand the instructions pertaining to the type of visa.

Step Four: Select the type of visa you intend to apply for and be familiar with the necessary information on the requirements needed to be eligible.

a. An original, valid, and signed passport with at least 2 blank pages, valid for at least 6 months after the end of your stay.

b. Two completed-and-signed duplicates of the Russian visa application form.

c. A passport-size photo, (some embassies/consulates ask for two photographs) signed on the reverse.

d. An original HIV certificate showing a negative result is required for stays of more than 3 months.

e. An official invitation issued by an organization with authority to invite business visitors to Russia.

Documents Required for a Private Visa

a. An original, valid, and signed passport with at least one blank page, valid for at least 6 months after the end of your stay.

b. A photocopy of the pages of your valid passport bearing your name, date of birth, passport number, and expiry date.

c. Three passport size-photos.

d. An original HIV Certificate displaying a negative result is required for stays of more than 3 months.

e. A visa in your passport for the country of your final destination (if required).
