Requirements for JAMB UTME/DE Registration

To register for the JAMB examination, you will be required to present the following details and documents:

  • Personal email address
  • Personal phone number
  • Create your JAMB profile
  • Obtain your JAMB profile code
  • Purchase the JAMB e-PIN for registration
  • National identification number (NIN)
  • O’Level/A’Level Result (WAEC, NECO, GEC, NATEB, ND, OND, etc.)
  • Biometric Data
  • Processing fee

How to Create your JAMB Profile

To create your JAMB profile, follow the procedures outlined below:

  • Step 1: Go to messages app on your mobile phone
  • Step 2: Type the word β€œNIN” then space and type your eleven (11) digit NIN number. E.g. NIN 67128719072
  • Step 3: Send the text message to β€œ55019” or β€œ66019”
  • Step 4: A 10-digit unique number will be sent to your phone. That is your JAMB profile code.
  • Step 6: After creating your JAMB profile and obtaining your JAMB profile code, the next step is to purchase the JAMB E-pin to commence the registration process

Note: You will be charged a service fee of N50 for the text message. Also, ensure that the phone number you used, is the one linked to your NIN.WAEC result

  • Step 1: Visit the JAMB official website https://www.jamb.gov.ng
  • Step 2: Click on the β€œE-facility” link
  • Step 3: Click on the β€œCreate e-facility account/login” icon
  • Step 4: Select the β€œCreate an account” option
  • Step 5: A form will be displayed on the screen. Fill the form with your correct details
  • Step 6: You will be required to verify your email address
  • Step 7: Click on the β€œverify email” link displayed below
  • Step 8: An email from noreply@JAMB.gov.ng will be sent to your email address for confirmation
  • Step 9: Open the email and click on β€œContinue your profile Creation” to confirm your email
  • Step 10: You will be redirected back to the JAMB portal, click on β€œProceed to Login” to create your JAMB profile
  • Step 11: Your unique 10-digit profile code will be sent to your registered number or email.

How to Purchase the JAMB e-PIN

After creating your JAMB profile and obtaining your 10-digit profile code, the next step is to purchase the JAMB e-PIN in other to get the JAMB registration form. Follow the procedures below to purchase the JAMB e-PIN:JAMB form

  • Step 1: Go to JAMB official portal via https://portal.jamb.gov.ng
  • Step 2: Click on β€œBuy UTME/DE PIN”
  • Step 3: Enter your JAMB Profile Code into the space made available
  • Step 4: You will be required to make payment to get the JAMB e-PIN
  • Step 5: Select your preferred payment method e.g. Remita or Interswitch
  • Step 6: After making the payment, your JAMB e-PIN will be sent to your phone number.

OR,

  • Step 1: Using your registered phone number Dial *565*6*55019# or *565*6*66019#
  • Step 2: Enter your 10 digit JAMB profile code
  • Step 3: Select your bank and make the required payment
  • Step 4: Once payment has been made, your JAMB e-PIN will be sent to your registered phone number.

How to register for JAMB

After you must have created your JAMB profile, obtained your JAMB profile code, purchased the JAMB e-PIN, you’re already halfway done with the JAMB registration. The next step is to visit any JAMB-approved CBT centre close to you with all the required documents and details as mentioned earlier to complete the registration process. There your registration for the JAMB UTME/DE will be processed and your details will be uploaded to your JAMB CAPS. You will be required to make payment for the JAMB registration form.
