What is the NYSC Clearance?

The NYSC clearance is a mandatory and official exercise for all serving corps members. The NYSC clearance is created by the management of the NYSC program to monitor corps members during their oneyear service. It helps the NYSC board confirm that you are currently service at your assigned PPA. The clearance must be done at the Local Government Secretariat where your local government inspector’s office is located. It usually last for 10days beginning from the 10th day of the month.

There are 2 ways to do your NYSC clearance, and that is; the manual clearance, and the Biometric clearance. The manual clearance is more predominant in most parts of the country with the biometric clearance being practiced in Lagos state and a few other state as a test run. Both type of clearance can be accessed through your NYSC dashboard, and your clearance status will update on your dashboard after completing the clearance.
