In this article, we are going to take a look at how to prepare and pass NECO examination without cheating. Some students usually register for NECO immediately after WAEC examination, while some people will be trying to convince you to forget about the National examination council since you have written WAEC.

But, never let small minds convince you that your goal is out of reach. The fact is, not everyone will understand your vision. It is a waste of time trying to convince everyone that your dream is valid, especially when you are just starting out.

1. Start reading now

A candidate preparing for NECO exam once asked me, when is the best time to start Preparing for NECO I told him that it is immediately you enter SS2, and the next best time to start preparing is now!

Never wait until NECO registration end before you start preparing, it is only lazy students that are not ready to pass that do wait until a day before the exam before they will start having sleepless night pretending to be studying.

2. Consistency is the key

When you keep on doing the hard thing it will become soft one day, can you flashback to when you were in primary two, three? What you didn’t know then did you know it now? Those things that you are finding difficult then are they still as they are now? No!

That is how consistency works, when you keep on studying every day you will keep learning every day, the only thing that kills consistency is procrastination, stop pricastinating keep on reading until you achieve your aim.

3. Never skip Examples and Exercises

Examples make you understand the topic, exercises is what you use to test if you actually understand the example.

Practice as many examples in your books as possible once you understand the topic move over to exercises and solve some problems, if you are able to get the exercises correct that means you have understood the topic.

4. Get NECO past questions

NECO past questions is very important in preparing for NECO if actually you want to pass NECO in one sitting, it is a prophecy of how NECO exam will look like,

Getting NECO past questions is the best thing you can do for your self as you join the NECO examination race, practice many questions in the past question , make sure you understand how NECO do ask question and how to answer NECO question correctly.

In English language check the comprehension passage and practice it very well because I notice it usually stress some students that fail to understand how to answer comprehension.

5. Get the best and effective textbooks

If you check very well you will noticed that I used two words, Best and Effective, Best text book is the one that all the topics are been explained very well in such a way that any one who read the text book will be able to understand it effectively.

Effective textbooks are those books that you do not need any one to explain it for you before you can understand it, it is writing in simple English all the big grammar in the text are usually explained so that the person reading it will be able to understand it.

If you are ready to pass NECO exam this year you need best and effective textbooks to prepare, avoid key points they can make you fail NECO exam.

6. Attend NECO tutorial

It is very important for a candidate preparing for NECO to attend tutorial, were he/she can be brush up by the tutors/teachers,

When ever you are reading at home and you do not understand, jot it down once you get to the tutorial center the next day show your teacher to be able to put you through.

7. Join NECO Social media group

Joining NECO social media platform will help you to get the latest information about NECO, you will be Able to ask your fellow candidates questions.

You may be asking how do I join NECO Facebook or whatsapp group it is simple, Just login to your Facebook and search for keyword like; NECO 2021 GROUP, NECO Tutorial Etc.

avoid any group were things related to expo/Runz are been discussed or posted, NECO expo can make you fail NECO, in fact it has make many students to fail NECO more than five times, run as fast as you could for you to be in safe part.

How to read for NECO (Easy ways)

Read points: Reading out of points Is the major reason why many intelligents students fail NECO, always calm down and understand the major points of each topic before moving over to another topic.

Jot down key points in your jotter

do not assume you know any topic, some topics usually look as if we already know it, reread it until you understand it very well.

Avoid procrastination, do not postpone your reading to next time, read a according to the time on your timetable.

Ask questions, if you are finding any topic difficult feel free to look for any teacher or someone that know it to make the question clear to you.
