On her Instagram account Sunday night, Lawal clarified that she did not release the tape. Instead, she pointed out that her former boyfriend was responsible for its circulation.

The actress expressed frustration at accusations suggesting she leaked the tape deliberately.
Lawal said: “Until a lioness tells her story, every hunter will continue to be a hero. People always take quiet, non-problematic people as fools. However, I think it is time for me to start talking.
