Doyin Okupe, the immediate-past Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, has revealed that his arrest by the Department of State Service at the request of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission was a “mistake.”Information Guide Nigeria
Okupe was apprehended at Murtala Mohammed International Airport this morning, January 12.
Following his release, he revealed on Twitter that his passport had been kept by the Federal High Court in Abuja for some time, even before he was found guilty of violating parts of the Money Laundering Act that carried a penalty of two and a half years in prison.NYSC portal

He stated that senior EFCC officials in Lagos and Abuja apologised for the blunder that led to his incarceration.
