I’ll not run Delta governorship in 2027 — Ogboru

After 20 years in the governorship race for Delta State, Great Ogboru of the All Progressive Grand Alliance has said that he would not contest the governorship election in the state come 2027. THE PUNCH reports.

Ogboru, who turned 65 years old on Monday, said he is not joining the race to become governor in 2027 because he is “optimistic that the Delta governor-elect, Sheriff Oborevwori, will perform very well and there will be no need to contest in 2027.”Information Guide Nigeria

But he emphasised that his decision not to run again does not mean he is quitting politics, saying “there are other opportunities” and he is open to any of them as God proposes.NYSC Portal
